Remembering Gary Martin......

Friends and colleagues across Canada are remembering the life of Councillor Gary Martin, who passed away February 10, 2008.

It has been one year since Gary lost his courageous battle with cancer, but his legacy lives on. Whether you look at the sign he commissioned at Admiral Dewolf Park, or many other projects Gary laid his hands to, we all wish he was still here leading our community.

Gary's committment to Bedford and HRM during his many years as police officer and HRM Councillor, is clearly evident. Anyone who was touched by this gentle giant of a man, knows he still watches over us.

The Rocky Lake Development Association has dedicated the construction of the 'DOME' ice surface at Rocky Lake to Gary's memory. He was a proud supporter of the volunteer board and the site.

The legacy of the police officer, councillor, husband, father and grandfather will live on in our hearts. We miss you.
